We developed a short list of items that you need to look at before joining a home based business opportunity. When dealing with the List of Home Based Businesses, you should be aware that most of them hold around a 90% + failure rate. Use our list and hold them accountable.
There are a few great products out there. It is too bad that they do not have the infrastructure to match the product. Keep in mind it is just as easy finding a motivated person to buy a $ 1000 product as it is to find a motivated person to buy a $ 500 product. No doubt about it. Others will try to keep you on the lower end, but you must have marketing money to succeed so if you want to make a profit (why else would you be doing this) then you need a margin to pay for expenses.
You will need to find out, How long will it take to start making money? If you do not start making money soon then your belief level and your motivation will fade and you will probably quit. This is the most common scenario with any Home Based Business person. If the money does not come in quickly enough to keep them in the game, you will start to lose people in your organization
Now the more important item to look at is to look at the person bringing you into the business or the Person that will be training you to succeed. What is their skill level? Do you want to take a chance that this individual will make you money? This is where 99% of Home Based Business Opportunities fail to meet the mark.
There must be a method of assisting you in setting up a budget and tracking your finances. Good luck in finding this. What a shame.
The opportunity needs to teach you the state of the art tactics and techniques used in the Home Based Business World. Most are teach the old out dated tactics and techniques. Just using this technique you will do away with 80% + on the list of home based businesses.
The best of the Home Based Businesses should have an addition training system that comprises of Teleconferences, Webinars, Live Workshops, 1 on 1 instruction, audio and other new training techniques. The sad fact is this is very rarely the case. Don’t be fooled by false promises.
What type of global resources are on the table to be used? A large percentage of the opportunities out there use a cookie cutter approach to this as it saves time and makes their life easier. This one is so cutting edge that you can bet the answer to this is no. Does the leader of your team have Global strategic business relationships in place for you to tap into? Remember the World is our market and we need to maximize our sales throughout multiple countries.
How much time and money does the Leader spend per year learning about new ideas and the latest methods in Internet Marketing. If the answer you get is not clear….walk away. If the amount of money is less than $20,000, I would walk away. You see it is that leaders function to train you. This means that they must understand the latest methods and techniques. If you are being trained on out dated methods of sales, then you will get your lunch eaten.
Simple and straight to the point: How many people succeed and how many people fail? What are you doing to increase success rates?
Doing proper investigative work will pay off a hundred fold. Remember that this is a business and past results DO NOT guarantee future results. That little sentence is what keeps the government from shutting down these organizations. It is your job to make sure you are setting yourself up for success.
