Wasting Money On Advertising Is Far To Easy To Do
I joined a new Affiliate Marketing program about 5 weeks ago. The intent was and is to make money from a home based business. So far I’m very satisfied with the business plan but not so much with my achievements in this particular adventure. That’s because I didn’t pay close enough attention. I ended up spending a lot of money on useless advertising programs.
In the home based business field there are literally hundreds of internet companies that promise to make the newbie Entrepreneur wealthy by drawing in targeted traffic through their advertising programs. Having bought into a few of them I can say for a fact they are junk and are simply sucking money out of the new wannabe marketer. Better said, they don’t work. But of course I learned this the hard way having bought into several blast your ad to 10 million web site advertisers and others. of course they do blast your ad to 10 million sites and of course you get 0 results.
Some other programs that are available for newbies are mentoring programs. Some claim to make the new person rich earning thousands a month in short period of time while others are good solid programs. I hope that most newbies to marketing understand or will come to understand quickly that there is no such thing as a get rich scheme that works. Can mentoring programs work for a new person, of course they can. They can work if you have a very tight Niche market and if you have the time and money and the willingness to work the suggested programs.
When it comes to Affiliate Marketing or Network marketing mentoring programs usually do not help because these are very wide open programs. These are not Niche markets or even close to being one.
Having to learn most things the hard way I’ve been religiously sorting through hundreds of emails and clicking the delete button like it was a religion. Because I’ve searched out so many new marketing companies and spent a few dollars with some they all send a relentless amount of emails.
As a know it all it can be hard to learn new tricks, often to my own demise. Such is the case this time. I diligently searched for new ways to market my new program while I completely over looked the program itself. This new program had a terrific money making business plan. What I didn’t see until I decided to read their material is they also had a terrific marketing plan. It’s kind of like taking time to “stop to see the Roses” or “seeing the forest through the trees”. I was blinded by my quest and the over whelming number of emails it produced.
I have looked at many marketing programs over the years and almost all of them have a marketing strategy in place. I’ll admit that some of them are very weak and won’t really produce like most want but they are there anyway.
I’m not exactly new at online marketing and have known for a long time there are many traps in the online marketing business. Most will deprive you of your money for services that will prove useless in the end. Many newbies fall for the get rich schemes and the build your business overnight lies that many marketing companies claim will happen. Like what I did in this instance they will over look the plan that is in front of them.
If you have just signed up with a company as a new Affiliate your new company is the place to look for promotional ideas. New people should examine their new company from cover to cover and study their advertising suggestions. If the company you are with has been around for any length of time or has been started by experienced marketers there is a good chance their marketing program will lead you to the success you desire.
